Spiced Turkey Meatballs With Zucchini

BAKED NOT FRIED

These healthy, spiced turkey zucchini meatballs are baked and drizzled with hot sauce for a little kick.

GRATE ZUCCHINI

1

While you're at it, preheat the oven to 210 C / 410 F.

SQUEEZE THE JUICE

2

Squeeze out the juices from the grated zucchini into a sink. Return the grated flesh to a mixing bowl.

Combine THE MIXTURE

3

Add the rest of the ingredients, including the egg,  and mix everything until well incorporated.

TIP: Use a spoon or your hands to combine the mixture but don't over-mix.

Roll meatballs

4

Wet your hands and roll the meat mixture into medium-sized balls (a little smaller than a table tennis ball).

ARRANGE FOR BAKING

5

Place parchment paper over an oven tray. Grease lightly with oil (this is optional if you have non-stick paper). Place meatballs on top.

Drizzle hot sauce

6

Drizzle each meatball with a few drops of the hot sauce.

BAKE MEATBALLS

7

Place the tray in the oven (make sure it’s hot!) on the middle shelf. Bake for 18-20 minutes.

SERVE & ENJOY

8

Serve with extra hot sauce and some lime wedges.
